Luna

Luna

Dog

Luna, a 12+ year-old senior female dog, was found wandering aimlessly on the Old Mumbai–Goa Highway, weak, confused, and in desperate need of help. Based on her physical condition, it appears she may have been subjected to years of excessive breeding, leaving her frail, exhausted, and neglected. She was suffering from a severe skin infection, extensive hair loss, and poor body condition, suggesting she had been abandoned after years of exploitation.

Josh

Josh

Dog

Josh, a male Indie dog, is one of the most heartbreaking yet inspiring survivors to come through our doors. His injuries were the result of firecrackers being burst on his face, causing devastating burns and deep wounds. Left untreated, the injuries became heavily infested with maggots, which ate away much of the tissue on his face. By the time Josh was rescued, he had lost one eye, had multiple hollow wounds around his mouth and face, and was in unbearable pain. His condition was so critical that many believed he had no chance of survival. Despite the grim prognosis, our veterinary team refused to give up on him and began intensive treatment immediately.
