🐾 MEET ENZO — A FIGHTER WHO NEEDS US NOW ❤️ Yesterday, Enzo was rescued from the mud in an extremely critical condition. This approximately 8-year-old boy has been through unimaginable suffering. His entire body is severely affected by mange and extensive skin lesions, with multiple wounds and infections across his body. A large, severely infected maggot-infested wound below his ear, along with several smaller maggot wounds, requires intensive daily care.

His blood work has also revealed severe anaemia with very low haemoglobin, leaving him extremely weak. We also suspect an underlying hormonal/endocrine disorder, which may be contributing to the severity and chronicity of his skin condition. Skin scraping has confirmed Demodex mites (demodicosis). Samples have also been sent for fungal and bacterial culture, and we are awaiting those results to understand the complete picture and guide his treatment. But Enzo is not giving up. ❤️
